Meet Sage...my inspiration, my guide, my son

Nice to meet you! My name is Rebecca. I am a Reiki Master and have been practicing Reiki for about 5 years now. I would like to share with you what has brought me to this moment in my life.

My interest in the healing arts began around the age of two when I was regularly visited by a medicine man. I would know when he was coming by the sound of his drum that I could hear beating in my pillow. It may sound silly and some would say it was a re-occurring dream, but to me it was very real. It was this medicine man, and the fact that I was born to a flower child in Oregon, that sparked my love for herbal, holistic, alternative medicine and shamanism.

It wasn't until much later when a little soul entered my life for a short 8 months, that I knew my calling. That little soul was my son Sage. He was born with a liver disease and at four months old was given less than a year to live. He left us at eight months following a liver transplant. During his illness, I was surrounded by the most amazing, loving and supportive people who carried me through that most difficult time. And Sage touched each and every one of their lives. I knew then my journey was just beginning.

I vowed then that I would dedicate myself to giving back what everyone had so selflessly given me. In the brief time that I was blessed to be with him, Sage reminded me how precious life is and not to take it for granted. Much like the Reiki Ideals.

In his life and in death he has guided me on my path to self and spiritual discovery. That path of self discovery is how I found Reiki, or maybe I should say Reiki found me. My desire is to help whoever I can along the way, bringing peace and relaxation through Reiki to all!
